need help! just started GW from WoW
hey guys!
i just started GW after playing WoW to lvl 45 (pally) and got kinda boring.
i was just wondering what kind of class i should play if i'm just starting out and wanting to make money
i've seen posts about W/Mo's and was thinking about playing one, but not sure b/c i've heard that not many people like them, but i need a good soloing character and one that can farm and make money and is pretty easy to play.
so if anyone has any suggestions about classes and builds and the like, that would be great!
thanks in advance

Ive had threads with 100+ views without a reply, so be patient.
Monks and Warriors are the usually recommended starting class, though any class can farm effectively.

Sounds like you want to play pve and farm if that's the case I would say that a Warrior/x or a monk/x is the way to go. You can kill a lot of stuff with these classes. Others can kill also but if you are just starting out then are the easiest and probably most efficient. THere are many farm builds in these forums check them out. By the way the X refers to whatever secondary is applicable to the area you are farming.

hey guys
yeah thanks for the input!
btw, i have GW:P
and i have another question..
if i get my first character (probably going to be W/Mo b/c i don't pvp much), to a certain point in the game, if i make another character, does it start all over at the pre-searing?
also, i would like to play a nice damage dealing class that's pretty fun and easy to play for my first time around
thanks for all the help in advance!

When you make a secound char yes you start all over agian in presearing. You already have a good damage dealing class unless you want to go PvP if so use the W/E premade known as the shock/frenzy warrior and btw don't use W/Mo in PvP unless you are all Warrior.I would suggest to try some caster premades on the nameless Island to see what you like and then make PvE version of it.Don't expect to get rich fast as GW is not easy to make money from unlike WoW.
This would of been aswered faster in the Question and Answers forum at the very top and read stickies all of them.Welcome to the Guru.

i would say to go the warrior path since your starting up. you can go w/mo for all your basic farming needs. but you'll have to wait till later in the game until you start having access to these "elite skills" necessary for farming.
and welcome to the gw family. hope u enjoy and find a nice guild

Add one comment: CoP W/Mos can work if you're in a build with Orders, Aegis, etc.

Do you know what cop does? For every enchantment on you, you can remove a hex and condition. So aegis, orders etc... are enchantments. A wamo with cop is decent with an enchantment heavy build as he can keep himself free of conditions and hexes easily.

it is also worth mentioning that secondary profession can change once you get to the desert area. But you will have to buy skills for the prof. that you changed to.

Some times I wonder what itd be like to be that stupid, but then I get a headache and think about something else.

Genius, noone ever said the Warrior USE Orders or Aegis, but that it was a primer enchant for CoP. And Id gladly repost it there, but I see no reason to repeat something so common knowledge to anyone but you.
